Can I take a tour of the Capitol?

Yes. The Kansas State Historical Society conducts daily tours of the capitol. More information on the tours can be found on the Kansas State Historical Society Web site.

What are the tour hours?

Guided tours are given at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Capitol is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for self guided tours. For additional information contact the tour coordinator, Alexis Radil, at 785-296-3966.

Where can I park if I want to take a tour?

There are a number of off street parking stalls surrounding the Capitol. These spots do have meters and have strictly monitored time limits. Caution should be taken to avoid a parking ticket. During the legislative session, these spots fill up very fast. Please allow extra time to ensure arriving to your appointments on time. Handicap parking is available in the Capitol parking lot.
