What are the differences between the Kansas statutes and the Kansas statutes annotated?

The Kansas Statutes Annotated includes all the same information as the Kansas statutes. However, the annotations also include any changes or history of the statute.


Where can I view newly enacted Statutes?

Newly enacted statutes, or session laws, are available in the statute section of this site.


How can I get copies of statutes enacted prior to the current session?

All prior statutes are also available on the statute section of this site free of charge.


When are statutes usually enacted?
This is dependent upon the effective date in the bill when it was originally passed through the legislature.


Are Session laws the same thing as statutes?

Yes. Session laws are statutes that were passed during the latest legislative session.
