Chairperson Schmidt opened the hearing on SB51.

Scott Abbott, Revisor of Statutes, reviewed SB51 for the committee.

Mr. Abbott answered questions posed by the committee.


Alexandra Blasi, The Kansas Board of Pharmacy, spoke to the committee in support of SB51. (Attachment 6)

Ms. Blasi answered committee questions.

Katie Whisman, Kansas Bureau of Investigations, gave testimony in support of SB51. (Attachment 7)

Sarah F. Hill, KCDAA Drug Section Chairperson, offered support to SB51. (Attachment 8)

Ms. Hill and Ms. Whisman answered committee questions.

Written Proponents:

Ed Klump, Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police Chiefs, Kansas Sheriffs Association and Kansas Peace Officers Association, offered written testimony in support of SB51. (Attachment 9)

Kansas Independent Pharmacy Service Corporation, presented written testimony in support of SB51. (Attachment 10)
