Chairperson Campbell opened the hearing on HB 2242.  Jason Long, Senior Assistant Revisor, was asked to give an overview of the bill.(Attachment 1)  The Revisor responded to questions from Representatives Lusk and Rooker.

Chairperson Campbell recognized Scott Frank, Legislative Post Auditor, Legislative Division of Post Audit, who opened with neutral testimony.(Attachment 2)  There were no questions.

There was no neutral written testimony submitted.

Representative Scott Schwab, 49th District, Kansas House of Representatives, spoke in support of HB 2242.(Attachment 3)  Questions were asked by Representatives Trimmer, Karlesknit, Lusk, and Rooker.

Appearing as an opponent to HB 2242 was David Dorsey, Senior Education Analyst, Kansas Policy Institute.(Attachment 4)  There were no questions.
