Chairperson Bowers opened final action on SB31. Chuck Reimer, staff revisor, reviewed the bill.
Senator Haley distributed and explained a balloon amendment. (Attachment 2)
Senator Haley moved, Senator Faust-Goudeau seconded, to adopt the balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Mike Heim, staff revisor, presented a review of the tax sale process providing an explanation of`delinquent taxes and property tax sale for delinquent taxes. Mr. Heim answered questions from the Committee. (Attachment 3)
Chairperson Bowers suspended final action on SB31 at the request of a Committee member to allow time to work on an amendment with the proponents of the bill.
