Chairperson Kerschen opened the hearing on HB2079.
Tamera Lawrence of the Revisor's Office explained the bill;
Doug Mays testified in support of the bill. He believes that this bill would treat motor vehicles owned by rural water districts and used for utility purposes the same way as vehicles owned by other governmental units. Current practices for handling registration of these vehicles vary widely across the state. This bill would make registration of these vehicles consistent. (Attachment 3
