Chairperson Kelly called for final action on HB2289. David Wiese reviewed the bill and distributed and discussed a proposed balloon amendment. (Attachment 1)
Representative Hawkins moved, Representative Eplee seconded, to adopt the proposed balloon amendment to HB2289. Motion carried.
Back on the bill, Representative Kelly moved, Representative Powell seconded, to recommend HB2289, as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
Representative Dove proposed amending the bill with an individual-specific balloon amendment. The balloon amendment was distributed and discussed by David Wiese. (Attachment 2)
Representative Dove moved to adopt the proposed balloon amendment. Motion died for lack of second.
Back on the bill, Representative Powell moved, Representative Hawkins seconded, to recommend HB2289, as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
