Jason Thompson briefed the Committee on the bill saying it extends the ability for the judicial branch to impose an additional charge on each docket fee, and then he answered a few brief questions from the Committee members.
Proponents:
Joseph Molina, who submitted written testimony (Attachment 1) in support of the bill introduced the Committee to Stephanie Bunten who spoke to the Committee in support of the bill (Attachment 2). Ms. Bunten explained that if this bill did not pass, the budget would be reduced by approximately eight to nine million dollars.
Chairman Wilborn directed the Committee's attention to the additional, written, proponent, testimony, submitted by the Honorable Daniel Crietz (Attachment 3) and Christopher Esquibel (Attachment 4).
Seeing no further conferees, questions, or discussion, Chairman Wilborn closed the hearing.
