Jenna Moyer gave a brief on the bill saying it adds that the secretary of corrections may request law enforcement assistance from jurisdictions outside the state of Kansas.
Proponent:
Tim Madden speaking on behalf of Joe Norwood, the Secretary of the Kansas Department of Corrections, said that they support (Attachment 11) this bill and explained that there was a change in language to include correction officers.
Seeing no further conferees, questions, or discussion, Chairman Wilborn closed the hearing.
