Chairperson Campbell opened the hearing on HB 2379 and invited Jason Long, Senior Assistant Revisor, to give an overview of the bill. (Attachment 1)  A question was asked by Representative Karleskint.

Representative Landwehr, l05th District, Kansas House of Representatives, was an oral proponent. (Attachment 2)  There were no questions from Committee members.

Another oral proponent was Dave Trabert, President, Kansas Policy Institute. (Attachment 3)  There were no questions for this conferee.

There was no written-only proponent testimony submitted.

Appearing as an opponent for this bill was Mark Tallman, Kansas Association of School Boards. (Attachment 4)  Questions were asked by Representatives Rooker, Huebert, and Chairperson Campbell.

Chairperson Campbell welcomed Susan Willis, CFO, Wichita Public Schools, another opponent for HB 2379(Attachment 5)  Representatives Landwehr, Trimmer, and Aurand had questions for this conferee.
