Senator Pilcher-Cook moved, Senator Fitzgerald seconded, to table HB2137. Motion failed.
Mike Heim, staff revisor, distributed and explained a balloon amendment. (Attachment 3)
Discussion ensued. Senator Fitzgerald moved, Senator Pilcher-Cook seconded to amend HB2137 conceptually to combine the balloon amendment along with proposed language provided by staff to add that a county commissioner would not receive any compensation or other remuneration for volunteer activities
Senator Fitzgerald moved, Senator Pilcher-Cook seconded, to recommend HB2137 as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
