Mr. Siebers provided an overview for SB265 that gives the option for a party or their attorney to receive notices or orders from the state board of tax appeals electronically, if requested (Attachment 6).

Proponents:

Dave Trabert, Kansas Policy Institute, testified for SB265 that will provide improved efficiency of the board of tax appeals and for taxpayers who appeal their valuations annually (Attachment 7).

Eric Stafford, Kansas Chamber, testified for SB265 that gives the taxpayer an election to receive electronic notes and orders from the board of tax appeals that will expedite the process (Attachment 8).

Chairperson Johnson thanked the conferees for their testimony and closed the hearing for SB265.
