Requiring precinct committeemen and committeewomen to provide the county clerk with their address, phone number and email address and limiting the disclosure of the phone number and email address to county and state party chairpersons.

Chairperson Carpenter opened the hearing on HB2326 and acknowledged Mike Heim, Assistant Revisor, Office of Revisor of Statutes.  Revisor Heim gave an overview of the bill and answered questions.

Chairperson Carpenter acknowledged Representative Tatum Lee-Hahn, 117th District, Kansas House of Representatives, and member of the Elections Committee.  Representative Lee-Hahn gave proponent testimony. (Attachment 1)

Also giving proponent testimony were:

  • Michael Kuckelman, Chairman, Kansas Republican Party (Attachment 2)
  • Laura Tawater, KSGOP, 1st Congressional District Chairwoman. (Attachment 3)

All proponents stood for questions from Committee members.
