Chairperson Barker opened the hearing on HB2138. Matt Sterling, Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview on the bill (Attachment 4). Questions were asked by Representatives Ruiz and Houser and Chairperson Barker.
Chairperson Barker recognized Denise Selbee-Koch as a proponent on HB2138 (Attachment 5). Questions were asked by Representatives Miller and Highberger.
Chairperson Barker stated that written neutral testimony has been submitted by Debbi Beavers (Attachment 6), but Ms. Beavers is available on Webex for questions. Questions were asked by Chairperson Barker and Representative Highberger.
Chairperson Barker closed the hearing on HB2138.
Representative Miller moved to suspend the rule and work HB2138, seconded by Representative Eplee. The motion carried.
Representative Miller moved to recommend HB2138 favorably for passage, seconded by Vice-Chairperson Arnberger. Following an oral vote, HB2138 was favorably passed.
