Jason Thompson gave a bill brief of HB2082 stating that this bill authorizes the Crime Victims Compensation Board to waive certain application time restrictions and adds certain children to the definition of victim. (Attachment 1)

Adam Proffitt submitted the fiscal note for HB2082. (Attachment 2)

Richard Samaniego spoke in support of HB2082 stating that there are times when the two year deadline for filing for compensation should be waived because there were unavoidable delays during the process. He stated that this is particularly important when there are child victims that need mental health counseling. (Attachment 3)
