Jason Thompson gave a bill brief of HB2128 as amended by the House stating that it seeks to clarify jurisdiction and supervision of offenders in the certified drug abuse treatment program. (Attachment 1)

Adam Proffitt submitted a fiscal note for HB2128. (Attachment 2) 

Scott Schultz submitted a prison beds impact statement for HB2128. (Attachment 3)

Scott Schultz spoke in support of HB2128 stating that the bill allows for post-sentence transfer of jurisdiction and supervision of offenders ordered into the 2003 SB123 substance abuse treatment program. It allows the entire case of an offender to be transferred from where the person was sentenced to where the person lives. He stated that this is a better use of time and resources.  (Attachment 4)
