Chairperson Billinger called for final action on SB 264.
Discussion ensued regarding the membership of the board.
Senator McGinn moved, Senator Claeys seconded, to adopt the balloon amendment included in the Attorney General's testimony during the hearing on the bill (Attachment 1) and by removing one member of the Kansas fights addiction grant review board appointed by the attorney general after consultation with addition professionals and adding one member to the board appointed by the behavioral sciences regulatory board. Motion carried.
Chairperson Billinger distributed a balloon amendment and discussed the changes. (Attachment 2)
Discussion ensued.
Senator Claeys moved, Senator Hawk seconded, adoption of the balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Claeys moved, Senator McGinn seconded, to recommend SB 264, as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
