Vice Chairperson Croft moved to proponent testimony:
Representative Jo Ella Hoye, Kansas House of Representatives, testified there is something that we, as state legislators, can do to help address the workforce shortage crisis impacting public employers. We can make temporary changes to the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS) waiting period as an effort to expand the public workforce. Representative Hoye stood for questions. Alan Conroy, Kansas Public Employee Retirement System (KPERS), Executive Director, provided information on the statutory rules regarding retirees returning to work for a KPERS employer in a covered postion. (Attachment11)
