Chair Rahjes called for discussion and final action on HB2531.
After discussion, Representative Carlin moved, seconded by Representative Xu, to amend the bill.(Attachment 1)
After discussion, Representative Minnix moved a substitute amendment, seconded by Representative Fairchild.(Attachment 2)
Representative Minnix withdrew his amendment.
After further discussion, Representative Minnix moved a substitute amendment, seconded by Representative Fairchild. This substitute amendment contained Representative Minnix's original substitute amendment and portions of Representative Carlin's amendment, with regard to including board of township trustees and allowing county commissions or boards of townships to have the flexibility to require bond or liability insurance to cover costs of pipeline removal should pipeline ownership be abandoned or if the owner should become deceased. The Revisor was also granted authority to make technical amendments.
Representative Carlin moved, seconded by Representative Murphy, to pass favorably HB2531 as amended. Motion carried.
Chair Rahjes noted the Committee meetings to be held next week.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
