The Chairman opened the hearing and called upon Jason Long for a revisor overview of the bill.

The Chairman called for testimony on the bill.

Proponent Representative Christina Haswood explained as to how and why the bill will help avoid confusion during the process of appointing the most qualified board members.

Proponent Representative Victors-Cozad asked for the Committee to remove this requirement so that the most qualified people can serve this important capacity without any unnecessary steps and confusion.

(Attachment 3)

Proponent Representative Tom Sawyer  explained how the bill would make it easier for tribal interests to meet and urged the committee to advance the bill.
