72-6439a.Failure to meet accreditation requirements; reallocation of resources. Whenever the state board of education determines that a school has failed either to meet the accreditation requirements established by rules and regulations or standards adopted by the state board or provide the curriculum required by state law, the state board shall so notify the school district in which the school is located. Such notice shall specify the accreditation requirements that the school has failed to meet and the curriculum that the school has failed to provide. Upon receipt of such notice, the board of education of such district are encouraged to reallocate the resources of the district to remedy all deficiencies identified by the state board. When making such reallocation, the board of education shall take into consideration the resource strategies of highly resource-efficient districts as identified in Phase III of the Kansas Education Resource Management Study conducted by Standard and Poor's (March 2006).
