Co-Chair Bollier opened the hearing on HB2026.
Scott Abbott, Staff Revisor, reviewed the bill.
Mary Blubaugh presented testimony in favor of passage of HB2026. The proposed increase in reinstatement fees from $70.00 to $1,000.00 will cover costs of investigating and processing the request to reinstate the license.The second change will give the Board authority to revoke a license for three years. This will discourage the continual cycle of lapse and reinstatement of licenses.(Attachment 2)
Following discussion, Vice-Chairperson Bollier closed the hearing on HB2026.
Senator Pettey then introduced six pages from Turner Sixth Grade Academy - Caden, Damarys, Sandra, Alexus, Adrienna and Bethany.
