Chairman Proehl recognized Representative Blake Carpenter as the proponent for this bill. (Attachment 1) Representative Carpenter gave the background on the Gadsden Flag. He said the flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution.
There were no other proponents, opponents or neutrals. Chairman Proehl closed the hearing on HB2596 and opened the hearing on HB2599.
