Chairperson Lynn opened deliberations on SB 334 and requested Revisor Chuck Reimer to provide an overview of the bill.
Senator Olson moved, seconded by Senator Faust-Goudeau, to pass the bill.
Senator Olson, with consent from Senator Faust-Goudeau, withdrew the motion for purposes of considering amendments.
Senator Holland moved to amend the bill. (Attachment 1) Following discussion, Senator Holland withdrew the motion.
Senator Holland moved, seconded by Senator Pilcher-Cook, to amend the bill. (Attachment 2) The motion carried on a division vote with 5 ayes and 4 nays.
Senator Olson moved, seconded by Senator Suellentrop, to change the 5 year extension to a 9 year extension. The motion carried.
Senator Olson moved, seconded by Senator Suellentrop, to pass SB 334 as amended. The motion carried.
