Melinda Lewis testified in favor of HB2698  (Attachment 1) saying that the bill would create the Kansas Children's Savings Account program (CSA) to help families and children begin planning early for college. Professor Lewis addressed questions from Committee members.

Scott Gates provided neutral testimony (Attachment 2) and addressed questions from Committee members.

There being no further conferees, Vice-Chairperson Powell closed the hearing on HB2698.

The meeting adjourned at 10:00am.
