Chairperson Tyson opened a hearing on HB2488.

Adam Siebers presented to the Committee a description of HB2488(Attachment 3) He stood for questions.

Michael Hale presented testimony to the Committee in support of HB2488 because "alcohol should be stricken from the definition of special fuels".  (Attachment 4) He stood for questions.

Randy Stookey presented testimony to the Committee neutral to HB2488, indicating the bill "is to remove any confusion that ethanol-blended fuel (gasohol) is in fact a 'motor-vehicle fuel' that should be assessed a tax rate of $0.24 per gallon".  (Attachment 5) He stood for questions.

No testimony in opposition to HB2488 was presented to the Committee.

When all questions from the Committee were answered, Chairperson Tyson closed the hearing on HB2488.
