Natalie Scott gave an overview of HB2495.

Richard Samaniego on behalf of the Crime Victims Compensation Board (CVCB) testified in support of HB2495. He stated this bill would provide CVCB with authority to waive the two-year filing deadline for victims of sexually violent crimes who are seeking compensation for mental health counseling when CVCB finds good cause for the failure to file within the specified time. (Attachment 2)

The Committee had questions for Mr. Samaniego.

Chairperson Jennings called for final questions from the Committee and then closed the hearing.

Chairperson Jennings adjourned the meeting.
