Chairman Estes reconvened the hearing on SB 283.

Stacie Stern, Manager, Government Affairs, FanDuel Group, provided written testimony in support of the bill. (Attachment 1)

Neutral:

John Goodyear, Staff Attorney, The League of Kansas Municipalities, appeared and provided neutral testimony.(Attachment 2) The League requests if the bill is to move forward, that a provision be made for local government entities to receive the same percentage of revenues from sports wagering as they do from the rest of the revenue produced within the facility.

Terry Humphrey, Humane Society Legislative Fund, provided neutral testimony on the bill. (Attachment 3) Ms. Humphrey requested that the bill be amended to guarantee sports wagering does not include greyhound racing.

Neutral Written:

Russell Brien, Outside Counsel to Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, provided written neutral testimony on the bill. (Attachment 4)

Brianne Doura-Schawohl, Legislative Director, National Council on Problem Gambling, provided neutral information on the bill. (Attachment 5)

Chairman Estes commented that there is a bill being introduced on the House side that the Committee would like to review.

Chairman Estes closed the hearing on SB 283.
