Chairperson Patton called for final action on HB2450. Natalie Scott reviewed the bill.
Staff members passed out a proposed amendment. Representative Hoheisel explained the amendment.(Attachment 6) Representative Hoheisel moved and Representative Samsel seconded to amend HB2450. Motion carried.
Staff members passed out a proposed amendment. Representative Samsel explained the amendment. (Attachment 7) Representative Samsel moved and Representative Hoheisel seconded to amend HB2450. Representative Carmichael explained the intended amendment was going to cause confusion about what could not be used. His main concern was with inhalers. After discussion by the membership, Representative Samsel withdrew his amendment and stated he would work the issue as the bill moves forward.
Representative Hoheisel moved HB2450 be passed as amended and Representative Patton seconded. Motion carried. Votes were recorded as Yes: Owens, Bergquist, Hoheisel, Ohaebosim, Carmichael; No: Highberger
Chairperson Patton adjourned the meeting at 5:05.
