Staff briefed the Committee on the bill contents. (Attachment 1)
The Chairman recognized Representative Delperdang as the proponent for this bill. (Attachment 2) He said this bill would require a motorist approaching a parked or stranded vehicle on the side of the road, with flashing lights and people present, to move to the other lane if possible. He said this bill is a common sense approach to a very dangerous situation.
There were no other proponents, opponents or neutrals so the Chairman closed the hearing on HB2164 and opened the hearing on HB2165.
