Scott Schultz spoke in support of HB2121 stating that the primary goal of this bill is to define "absconding" and to distinguish it from "failure to report." (Attachment 12)

Jennifer Kisela spoke in support of HB2121 stating that Kansas does not currently have a statutory definition of when a person on supervision "absconds from supervision." She said this bill will provide clarification and consistency for supervision entities.(Attachment 13)

Patrick Armstrong joined Jennifer Kisela in support of HB2121 and said he was available for questions.
