Chairperson Warren opened the hearing on SB368.

Jason Thompson, Senior Assistant Revisor, provided an overview of SB368 and stood for questions. (Attachment 1)

Melissa G. Johnson testified in support of SB368 stating current statutes define internet trading in child pornography as a sexual offense; however, it does not require sexual offender registration. (Attachment 2) Ms. Johnson responded to questions from Committee members.

Written only testimony in support of SB368 was submitted by Greg Smith, Special Deputy Sheriff for Government Affairs, Johnson County Sheriff's Office. (Attachment 3)

Scott Schultz, Executive Director, Kansas Sentencing Commission, submitted a SB368 Prison Bed Impact Assessment. (Attachment 4)
