Jessie Pringle, Office of the Revisor of Statutes, presented the bill brief (Attachment 1). It was noted this bill has the same effect as HB 2022, passed by the committee in 2020, and repeals K.S.A. 555-193, the statute that directs quarterly transfers from the state general fund and conservation fee fund to the abandoned oil and gas well fund.
