Chairperson Barker opened the hearing on HB2677.  The Revisor provided an overview of the bill.  A question was asked by Representative Ruiz.

Chairperson Barker recognized Chief Darrell Atteberry as a proponent of HB2677 (Attachment 1).  He stated that his associations strongly support passage of this bill which would prohibit persons in charge of a building from requiring off-duty police officers from carrying a concealed handgun from providing personal information or wearing anything identifying such persons as a law enforcement officer or as being armed.  Questions were asked by Chairperson Barker and Representatives Smith, Ruiz, Howe, Moser, Waggoner, and Highberger.

There being no further conferees, the Chairman closed the hearing on HB2677.
