Chairperson Warren opened the hearing on HB2508.
Jason Thompson, Senior Assistant Revisor, provided an overview of the bill and responded to questions from Committee members. (Attachment 3)
Robert Jacobs testified in support of HB2508 and provided some background information and update on the role of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) responsible for administering criminal history background record checks and use of the Rap Back (record of arrest and prosecution) program utilized by the KBI to continuously monitor enrolled individuals. (Attachment 4) Mr. Jacobs responded to questions from Committee members.
