Chairperson Warren called for discussion and final action on HB2517.
Jason Thompson, Senior Assistant Revisor, reviewed the bill and stood for questions.
Senator Warren proposed an effective date amendment. The revisor discussed the proposed amendment changing the effective date upon publication in the "statute book" to "Kansas register" on page 6, line 36. (Attachment 10)
Senator Warren moved to adopt the amendment. Senator Haley seconded. The motion carried.
Chairperson Warren called for discussion or other amendments and seeing none requested final action.
Senator Haley moved to recommend HB2517, as amended, favorably for passage. Senator Thompson seconded. The motion carried.
Chairperson Warren announced an agenda change for tomorrow to add a hearing on SB533 followed by discussion and final action on HB2377.
The next meeting will be Friday, March 18, 2022.
