What is Lobbyist-In-A-Box?
Lobbyist-In-A-Box
(LIAB) is a unique program offered to you by the Information Network
of Kansas. LIAB has been developed as a user-friendly powerful
tool by lobbyists for lobbyists. This application allows the user
to create profiles of bills by using keyword searches or bill
numbers. LIAB will then monitor the profiles and alert you as
to any new bills fitting the user defined profile or alert you
to changes of bills already in the profile.
Creating profiles is the key to making this application work
for you. A profile is where you store all the information that
you are tracking on the legislative bills. When creating your
profile, you may elect to set up the profile using keywords and
bill numbers or by bill numbers only. There is no limit to the
number of bills that can be contained within the profile, nor
is there a limit to the number of profiles you can create!
Is there a demo of Lobbyist-In-A-Box?
Yes. The Lobbyist-In-A-Box Demo allows you to walk through the service to learn how it works and get a feel for the site.
How much does it cost?
Lobbyist-In-A-Box is available to all Kansas.gov
subscribers for:
$50.00 per month for unlimited access to profiles.
$1.00 per search on a profile
Why do I need it?
Lobbyist-In-A-Box can do all of the following:
- Create profiles of bills by using keyword searches or bill
numbers
- Keep track of ALL the bills that are relevant to your organization
with one convenient application.
- Keeps track of all the changes that take place within the
bills in your profile.
- Monitors the profiles and alerts you as to any new bills fitting
the user defined profile or alert you to changes of bills already
in the profile
- Allows for tracking of bills that are introduced that match
a keyword search.
- Create multiple profiles for easy cross referencing.
- There is no limit to the number of bills that can be contained
within a profile.
- Lobbyist-In-A-Box is now palm enabled for those of you on
the constant go.
How do I get set up with Lobbyist-In-A-Box?
Step 1: Fill out a subscription
form to set up your account with Kansas.gov.
Step 2: Log
onto Lobbyist-In-A-Box.
Step 3: Set
up your profile(s).
