Financial-Compliance Audits

Legislative Post Audit is responsible for an annual Statewide financial and compliance audit of the State's general-purpose financial statements prepared by the Division of Accounts and Reports, as well as financial-compliance audits of State agencies such as the Retirement System, the Lottery, and the State Treasurer. The majority of financial-compliance audit work is conducted by public accounting firms under the Division's direction. Legislative Post Audit contracts for 4 such audits each year, all of which are required by State or federal law.
