Proponents:

Eric Turek, Kansas Insurance Department provided testimony for the bill.(Attachment 6)

Kansas allows for two types of prepaid service plans - legal and dental.  The individuals that solicit the membership in Kansas pay a $2.00 annual registration fee.  The last time a fee was paid was in 2016.  This bill would eliminate the fee and move the reporting of the list to annual versus semi-annual.

If this bill is approved, it would be a savings of $128.00 annually. This equates to .00004414 per Kansan.
