Minutes for SB307 - Committee on Ways and Means

Adding for-profit private entity to the definition of "qualified applicant" in the Kansas fights addiction act.

Chairperson Billinger reopened final action on SB 307.

Senator Claeys moved, Senator Fagg seconded, to reconsider action on SB 307. Motion carried.

Senator Fagg distributed a balloon amendment and discussed the proposed changes. (Attachment 11)

Senator Fagg moved, Senator Pittman seconded, adoption of the proposed balloon amendment. Discussion ensued.

Senator Fagg withdrew his motion to amend and Senator Pittman withdrew his second.

Senator Fagg moved, Senator Alley seconded, to recommend SB 307 favorably for passage. Motion carried.

Chairperson Billinger adjourned the meeting at 11:47 am.
