Jason Thompson, Revisor's office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions. (Attachment 3)
Colonel Jared Maag testified as a proponent on HB2392. He stated these proposed changes include consolidating language from various provisions of Chapter 40 to avoid unnecessary and duplicative language. Modernizing the Kansas Code of Military Justice (KCMJ) ensures that the men and women of the Kansas National Guard are subject to statutes are are consistent with the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
