Chairperson Waymaster called for final action of SB307.
Representative Helgerson moved, Representative Hoffman seconded, to recommend SB307, favorably for passage.
During discussion on the motion, Representative Hoffman presented the committee with an amendment. (Attachment 16) The committee discussed precedents and the compensation rate.
Representative Hoffman moved a substitute motion, Representative Williams seconded, to amend the Fight Additions Grant Review Board to be paid subsistence allowances, mileage and other expenses when attending meetings, if not already reimbursed by their employer or entity whom they represent. Motion carried.
Back on the bill as amended.
Representative Helgerson moved, Representative Hoffman seconded, to recommend SB307, as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
Chairperson Waymaster informed committee members they should have received additional information from the Kansas Department of Transportation on February 8th:
- Follow-up response to questions from January 23's committee meeting (Attachment 17)
- Kansas Local Bridge Improvement Program Guide and Fact Sheet (Attachment 18) (Attachment 19)
- US-36 Traffic Study (Attachment 20)
The meeting adjourned at 10:24 a.m.
