AN ACT concerning children and minors; relating to children in need of care; directing the secretary for children and families to consider foster parents as prospective adoptive parents under certain circumstances; requiring the secretary to report on certain data on adoptions; making orders granting custody for adoption subject to the federal Indian child welfare act; amending K.S.A. 38-2270 and K.S.A. 2023 Supp. 38-2203 and repealing the existing sections; also repealing K.S.A. 2023 Supp. 38-2203a.
