Chairperson Francis opened the hearing on HB2346.
Chris Waggoner, Office of Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview of the bill and addressed questions from the committee. (Attachment 7)
Officer Scott Kirkpatrick, President, Kansas City, Kansas Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4 testified as a proponent of the bill stating it would allow for Kansans to display their support while traveling our roadways and serve to bolster morale amongst Kansas Law Enforcement Officers. (Attachment 8)
Mr. Kirkpatrick addressed questions from the committee.
Written testimony in support of the bill was provided by Ed Klumpp, Legislative Liaison on behalf of the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police, Kansas Sheriffs' Association and the Kansas Peace Officers Association. (Attachment 9)
There being no further conferees, Chairperson Francis closed the hearing on HB2346.
