Chairman Howe opened a hearing on HB2375.

Jill Wolters briefed the Committee on HB2375.  She stood for questions. (Attachment 1)

Representative Wasinger testified in support of HB2375 by stating that the bill will "allow for online students to be able to apply for licensure with the Behavioral Services Regulatory Board".  She stood for questions.  (Attachment 2)

Matt Lindsey testified in support of HB2375 by stating the bill "seeks to remedy a frustrating statutory and regulatory barrier to students pursuing a college degree in social work at certain institutions in Kansas".  He stood for questions.  (Attachment 3)

David Fye testified in support of HB2375 by stating the bill "would create two new types of temporary licenses for applicants for permanent social work licensure under the Behavioral Science Regulatory Board".  He stood for questions.  (Attachment 4)

Written only testimony in support of HB2375 was provided by Dr. Joe Squillace, University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth.  (Attachment 5)
