Chairperson McGinn opened the hearing on SB 163.
Senator Marci Francisco spoke in support of the bill which has been updated from the one presented a few years ago. Specific language was added for the request to fund the technical training center to be put before voters on a ballot. Senator Francisco stood for questions.(Attachment 6)
Dr. Kevin Kelley added his support for the bill adding that the Tech Center provided work and job force training for the community in skilled and vocational trades. Dr. Kelley stood for questions after his testimony.(Attachment 7)
Chairperson McGinn closed the hearing on SB 163 and adjourned the meeting at 10:20 a.m.
