Short Title
Concerning the salaries of the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state treasurer, commissioner of insurance, justices of the supreme court, judges of the court of appeals and members of the governor's cabinet; establishing the rate of pay for such state officers based on the annual rate of pay for members of congress, as adjusted by the specific provisions of this act; and providing that all such rates of pay are subject to appropriations.

Chairperson Billinger called for final action on SB 152.
Senator Claeys distributed a balloon amendment to House Sub. for SB 229 and discussed the proposed changes that take into account feedback from the Governor's Office and the Judicial Branch concerning SB 152. (Attachment 4)
Senator Claeys moved, Senator Masterson seconded, to strike the contents of SB 152, and to insert the contents of SB 229, as amended, into SB 152. Motion carried.
Senator Claeys moved, Senator Masterson seconded, to recommend SB 152, as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
Chairperson Billinger adjourned the meeting at 3:27 pm.
