72-254. The state board may sue in its own name, may be sued and may defend any action brought against it or against any of its members who are sued in situations relating to and arising out of the performance of their official duties. The state board shall appoint an attorney to represent it or any of its members in all litigations. The attorney for the state board shall attend all meetings of the state board and render such legal services as are directed by the state board or the commissioner. |
